Andrew Downs

Andy got his start in estate management many moons ago at Thorn EMI, which at the time embraced HMV together with Radio Rentals, DER and Rumbelows. A twelve year spell in the fashion sector followed; firstly at Laura Ashley, where Andy became UK Estates Manager; before being lured to join Country Casuals as Group Property Manager. In 1999 Andy joined Woolworths, where he remained until Downs Leat Marshall was formed in 2009.

Richard Leat

Richard spent his early property years with a Mayfair-based national commercial property consultancy, Hillier Parker, before starting his retail property career at J Sainsbury. He joined Mothercare in 1980 as Property Manager and worked in other Storehouse companies before joining Woolworths where he was Head of Estates for 13 years. Richard has a wealth of retail markets experience throughout the UK and has an extensive contact base.

Gary Marshall

Gary moved into Retail Estate Management in 1988, joining the rapidly expanding Next. He then went on to become Estate Manager with the Sketchley Group which included other brands such as Supasnaps. He was Head of Estates and Asset Maintenance for PizzaHut, and more recently with Woolworths. Gary also has experience in analysing and developing new businesses and activities, including work abroad with organisations such as Ernst & Young.
